Do they have any of them up there or do I have to get a band in from Dublin?

The standard is very high and the musicians are no spring chickens chancing their arm. These bands are not out 4 nights a week gigging at the opening of an envelope! but are just as good if not better than other Dublin acts we will not mention! We attended a wedding in Mayo last week and the band arrived to the room that morning to get set up, yes you heard correct, they were in nice and early to avoid the band bring in sound equipment during the speeches. Mind you, they brought in enough PA system to cover the Aviva Stadium but fear not, they did not blast it out at a massive volume. The sound was superb and sounded like a CD being played and it just added to the performance with a high quality feel. They did not go too mad on the lighting but the atmosphere was beautiful and all the guests were plesantly suprized with the quality and presentation of the band.

What if I pay extra to get a Dublin band to travel up?
It's up to you, if you know the band and have seen them live well then fair enough.
Sometimes a band can fit everything required for the gig into three cars and a small van, either way your looking at a slight additional charge for travel expenses.
