A Guide on how to book your Wedding Entertainment

5 easy steps & a list of our most booked bands!

Congratulations on your engagement! As an agency with more than 10 years of experience, we like to think that we know the secrets to booking the best entertainment for your wedding day. We want to try to help you get the best entertainment package for your big day: Ceremony, Drinks Reception, Cover Band, DJs and Unusual Acts.

At each step, we will offer you a list of recommendations within our most popular acts for 2019, keep reading for some serious wedding advice:

1. Ceremony Music

The Ceremony is the moment when you express your true love for each other, this may come in many forms and shapes. Being as genuine as possible about your love for each other will make these memories last longer. If you are both Star Wars fans you can hire a Harpist to play Star Wars music while the Storm Troopers walk you up or down the aisle. If you are a Jazz fan you can have a lovely Jazz Duo to play all your favorite songs. You can event go for a Brass Band if you want a High-impact performance. The world is your oyster, this stage of the big day is all about you two as a couple.

1. Drinks Reception Entertainment

The drinks before the meal is the time for your guests to mingle, so the music/entertainment shouldn’t still the show. Any act booked for the Drinks Reception must allow for the guest to talk and set the mood for the rest of the evening. In this regard a 2 piece or a 3 piece band are enough of an impact. If you want to go for something a bit more quirky a latin walkabout or a Trad trio are perfect options.

2. Party Band

The band will set the mood for the party, it’s very important to choose a professional cover band for your day. The main characteristics of a good band are: being able to read the crowd to play the right songs, having all the equipment necessary and having the energy on stage to present an interactive energetic performance. Once you have a list of bands with these traits, make sure to attend a viewing date, check out their playlist to see if it suits your taste and check their social media for recent events.

Obviously, we advise that you book through an agency as it takes the stress of planning the details plus gives you the security of booking a professional band.

3. Dj Acts

The band should play for anything up to two hours (usually) and then most people book a DJ until curfew. If you not too keen on stopping at the party at 2 am, the silent disco is the perfect option for you.  Although there is no going wrong with a professional DJ, I would like to present with some other options for this portion of your wedding evening.

4. Unique & Unusual Wedding Acts

Whether you have some budget left or you want to surprise your guest, or even, surprise the bride/groom, there are some incredible acts for this purpose that can be included in any stage of a wedding.
