Silent Disco Explained - Interview With An Experienced Silent Disco DJ

A silent disco is where everyone wears headphones which are wireless and dances without using an audio PA system.

The one major difference is the patrons all hear the music on a personal level and therefore are more inclined to concentrate on music and dancing.

On a corporate level the silent disco is definitely a team building experience and a very exciting party prospect.

There can be as many as 3 channels running at the same time but 2 channels does the job nicely.

No loud speakers means less noise so you can party later than normal, the only con is its harder to communicate with someone who cant hear you so it’s a kind of a personal experience. 

I have been a DJ since 1987, my first silent disco was 2012.

It’s always funny to see the closet break dancers in a ring of people trying those dangerous moves after one too many.

There you have it, the basic knowledge you need to understand what a silent disco is ! It is definitely a great way to entertain your guests with a unique experience. And the best part is, no neighbour complaints !
